(Cleveland) — The superintendent and grounds director of the Richmond Heights Local Schools have been charged with demanding and receiving bribes from a company that did business with their district.

The Cuyahoga County prosecutor's office says Richmond Heights schools superintendent Robert Moore and district buildings director Richard Muse were indicted Monday. Each is charged with extortion, bribery, theft in office and soliciting or receiving improper compensation.

Moore, of Mentor, and Muse, of Cleveland, were arrested Friday and are scheduled for arraignment Thursday.

Prosecutors allege 52-year-old Moore and 43-year-old Muse threatened to end a company's business arrangement with the district unless they got cash payments. Prosecutors say $3,400 was found by investigators on Friday.
