(Cincinnati) - A new Quinnipiac University poll shows continued support for executions in Ohio.
According to the survey, 69 percent of Ohioans questioned believe the death penalty is just punishment for murderers.
Twenty-five percent say they are opposed to capital punishment.
Republicans and males were more supportive the death penalty, than Democrats and females. Age did not seem to be a major factor.
The Quinnipiac University poll has a 2.9% margin of error, and gathered the opinions of more than 11-hundred registered voters.
The results are nearly identical to poll take back in February, despite high profile botched executions in Ohio and Oklahoma.
