(Ravenna) - A not guilty plea Monday from the freshman student at Kent State accused of firing a 9mm handgun following a domestic argument with two women he was dating, according to KSU Police.  

24-Year old Quavaugntay Tyler of Cleveland made an initial court appearance in Portage County Common Pleas Court Monday.  

Tyler is accused of firing the gun last Wednesday.  The bullet struck his left hand. No one else was injured.  He was arrested at a nearby hospital.  

Tyler's charged with carrying a concealed weapon and locked up on $40,000 bond at the Portage County Jail.
