(Cleveland) - No more criminal cases will be heard by Cleveland Municipal Court Judge Angela Stokes beginning Monday.

She has been barred from hearing such cases as the Ohio Supreme Court's Disciplinary Counsel investigates claims of abuse by Stokes on court staffers, defendants, and attorneys.

Stokes will continue to hear civil cases which include small claims cases.  Future criminal cases which would have landed on Judge Stokes' docket will now be divided among the court's 11 other judges.

The Ohio Supreme Court's Disciplinary Counsel will decide how long Stokes will be barred from hearing criminal cases.
