(Cleveland) A survey sent out on Wednesday to single ticket and season ticket holders by the Cleveland Indians asks several questions about the team's logos, uniforms, and branding. The question that's gained the most attention asks fans their feelings about the Chief Wahoo logo.
Cleveland Indians Spokesman Jason Hammond says amid the recent controversy in other states concerning team logos with Native American themes, he can understand why the question is making waves, but it's not intended to, "obviously, all of our logos, all of our marks, Chief Wahoo was included".
The survey includes 25 questions, the Chief Wahoo question is one of them. Other questions include how fans like the light blue pitching uniforms. The results of the survey will not be published, they'll just be used by the Cleveland Indians organization as a way to better improve fan experience at the ballpark.
