(Parma) - Last call came early Wednesday morning at a bar in Parma, as a bar was held up at gunpoint, and one bar patron was shot and wounded.

Parma poilce say at 1:55 a.m., a man armed with a handgun walked into Piffels Pub at 5587 Ridge Road. The suspect pointed the handgun at several bar patrons, demanding their money. One patron was hit over the head with the handgun.

An employee of the bar tried to run out to call for help, but the suspect chased her outside and forced her back inside.

Once the suspect was back in the bar, he shot a male patron in the torso. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. There's no word on his condition. The employee of the bar was then forced to hand over money from the till, and that's when the suspect left.

He was seen getting into the passenger side of a dark colored vehicle driven by an unidentified person. The vehicle headed eastbound on Virginia Avenue.

The male suspect had a mask covering his face, but he was described as possibly a black male, thin build, wearing a dark colored hoodie and dark colored pants. The vehicle was described as a dark blue colored mid-sized passenger car.
