(Cleveland) - A big day in store for Cleveland.
A ribbon will be cut at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon symbolizing the completion of Phase 1 of construction for the Global Center For Health Innovation.
The ceremony will be attended by an invitation-only audience which will hear remarks from Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald, Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson and the leaders of the four major health systems in the city of Cleveland.
Phase 2 construction on the Global Center will be complete in February, at which time the center will open to the public.
The Global Center For Health Innovation is connected to the brand new Convention Center downtown.
The GCHI was completed three months ahead of schedule and under budget, the savings from which will go toward construction of a Convention Center hotel.
