(Cleveland) Another trucking company has filed a lawsuit against Browns' owner Jimmy Haslam's family company on Wednesday claiming rebate fraud.
The latest company to sue, NKC Transportation out of Kansas City, said Pilot Flying J "regularly, purposely and intentionally understated the amount owed to NKC and other similar companies, promised by Pilot sales representatives as a rebate for purchase of their diesel fuel."
The complaint goes on to say that Pilot Flying J's owners, top executives and other sales officials conspired to reduce the rebate payments due to NKC and other customers to increase the company's profits and the sales commissions of it's sales agents without the customer's knowledge.
The lawsuit is one of more than two dozen filed against Haslam's family company since an FBI raid at the headquarters in Knoxville, Tennessee in April. It comes as a proposed class-action settlement has been tentatively approved in U.S. District Court in Little Rock.
