(Westlake) – After nearly a month of treatment, Kim Jaworski has been released by MetroHealth Medical Center.

On August 14th Jaworksi and his wife Carol were brutally stabbed in their Southbridge Drive home.

On August 26th Carol was released from the hospital.

The couple’s son Robert is being held on $425,000 dollar bond. Westlake Police have charged him with attempted murder. The 22 year old has pleaded not guilty.

On August 14th, Westlake Police Captain Guy Turner told Newsradio WTAM 1100, they received a hang-up 911 call from a woman who said she had been stabbed.

A callback by dispatch revealed that 58-year-old Kim Jaworski and his 56-year-old wife Carol Jaworski had been stabbed by their 22-year-old son Robert.

Both were transported by Westlake Fire to St. John Medical Center and then airlifted to MetroHealth Medical Center.

Turned said, North Olmsted, Rocky River and Bay Village police departments assisted in the search for the suspect, which ended at 11:29pm when he was arrested at Porter Road and Lansing Drive without incident. He is being held in the Westlake City Jail.

Turner revealed that Robert had been suffering from mental illness.
