(Parma) – It was a tight squeeze for a deer in Parma over the when the fire department responded to a call of a deer trapped in a trench.
Capt. Mike Lasky stated that a retaining wall was recently built on the property if a South Park Dr. home.
"We received the call about 4:00 Sunday afternoon. We were able to put straps and ropes around the deer and pull it out of the trench sliding it up a piece of wood planking that was on the scene," says Capt. Lasky.
The deer was able to shake off the strap and ropes and ran into the woods were it was greeted by another deer and they ran off together.
The trench was approximately 5 feet deep.
