(Cleveland) - A motorcyclist loses his life Wednesday night in Willoughby. Police say 67-year old James Martin lost control of his Triumph motorcycle on Kirtland Road near Ohio 306 and was thrown from the bike.

Another motorist stopped to assist Martin who was sitting in the roadway and that's when Martin was struck and killed by a Dodge Intrepid. Martin died at the scene.

Charges have not been filed against the driver of the Intrepid. She is identified as 74-year old Barbara Reinkoester of Kirtland.

It's not known if alcohol played a role.  Willoughby Police continue their investigation.
